About us
Artur Zakirov
Arthur Zakirov is a businessman who founded a cybersecurity company in Russia in 2020. After the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine, he left the country and began to create a cybersecurity company in Spain.
He was born in 1987 in Naberezhnye Chelny into a family of musicians. In his youth, Zakirov became a Candidate Master of Sports in chess. He received education in law, specializing in civil law. He started his career as a corporate sales manager, first in telecommunications companies, and later in system integrators providing cybersecurity solutions for corporate clients. This journey took him from Kazan to Moscow.
After 2015, he founded several of his own companies, with the most successful being the system integrator company, Artsoft. Among its clients were major corporations such as Roscosmos, Uralkhim, the Ministry of Labor, Rosatom, and others. The company also conducted business abroad, such as in 2021 when Artsoft signed a major contract to supply software for ensuring information security at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant under construction in Turkey.
In February 2022, during the invasion of Ukraine, Zakirov was abroad with his family. He decided not to return to the country, closed his business in Russia, and publicly condemned the Russian authorities. Even before the full-scale war, he began financially supporting various opposition movements in Russia. In 2021, he participated in a protest in Moscow in support of Navalny. "I became interested in politics late. Starting around 2017, I began listening to Navalny in my car and gradually realized that things were heading in the wrong direction."
As of today, Arthur Zakirov actively participates in the public life of the Russian opposition. In September 2023, he participated in the FORUM RUSSIE-LIBERTÉS forum in Paris, as well as in a roundtable discussion at the Paris Institute of Political Studies. In addition, Arthur Zakirov provides financial support to various political and social movements aimed at ending the war in Ukraine and overthrowing the Putin regime.
Arthur is married and has 5 children. Besides Russian, he is fluent in English, Spanish, and Tatar.
